Our History
In 1989, Mike Arias formed the firm of Arias & Henderson. Prior to forming that firm, Mr. Arias was associated with a well-know and respected litigation firm where he was a lead trial attorney for one of the firm’s trial teams. In 1992, Mark Ozzello joined the firm and the name was changed to Arias & Ozzello, the predecessor to Arias Ozzello & Gignac.
In 2001, J. Paul Gignac joined Arias & Ozzello, and the firm of Arias Ozzello & Gignac was formed. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gignac was the partner-in-charge of the class action department at Capello & McCann, a nationally-recognized business trial firm.
Since 2001, the firm has experienced significant growth. Arias Ozzello & Gignac now has offices at the Howard Hughes Center on the Westside of Los Angeles and on Calle Real in Santa Barbara, California. The firm also has associate offices in New York and New Orleans.
The attorneys of Arias Ozzello & Gignac possess over 100 years of combined legal experience. The firm’s attorneys are admitted to practice before state and federal courts in California, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington, D.C. The firm has a nationwide practice and handles litigation matters ranging from large class actions to complex commercial matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm also represents a broad range of commercial clients in a variety of transactional and general business advisory matters.
Arias Ozzello & Gignac is also extremely committed to the community. The firm’s attorneys contribute a significant amount of pro bono time to community organizations and activities.
