Kleiman, et al. v. DOE Mortgage Broker, et al.

Los Angeles Superior Court (Class Action) in defense of a mortgage broker and related defendants in a class action lawsuit alleging that lending industry practice of utilizing "yield spread premiums" amounted to unfair business practice in California.
Obtained a settlement in which all claims against defendants were dismissed.

U.S. Green Card Lottery Facilitators, Inc. v. Card Service International, Inc., et al.

Los Angeles Superior Court (Class Action) on behalf of credit card merchants alleging that defendants concealed or failed to adequately disclose how to utilize credit card security services, thereby increasing the likelihood of fraudulent transactions, and consequently, “charge backs” for which defendants charged unreasonable fees.  Class Action settlement was reached which allowed merchants to receive monetary compensation.

Scott v. Snell

Sacramento Superior Court (Class Action) filed on behalf of shareholders seeking to recover damages for defendants’ failure to pay fair consideration to the minority shareholders in connection with a going private transaction. The case was settled in 2005 for $1.25 million – representing nearly a 100% increase in the amount paid to the shareholders at the time of the merger.
