Williams v. Angeles Abbey Memorial Park

Co-counsel for hundreds of relatives who were misled as to the final disposition of their decedents' remains. Defendants mishandled the remains of many decedents, thus causing severe emotional distress to Plaintiffs. This matter was vehemently contended by Defendants and had to be tried to a jury. Multiple verdicts (including finding of fraud) were rendered and total judgments were in excess of $7,000,000.

YMCA v. Doe Defendants

Co-counsel for plaintiff for claims of faulty workmanship and defective construction which led to significant water damage to facility. Numerous settlements totaling in excess of $1,500,000.

Thompson v. Viva America

Defendants misrepresented the composition and contents of various vitamins and supplements to hundreds of purchasers. Plaintiffs alleged that Defendants failed to disclose important facts regarding the vitamins and, as such, defrauded the consumers. The parties agreed to settle with total value to class members in excess of $3,200,000 and injunctive relief for Plaintiffs.

Mejia v. Doe Excavation Pit

The Plaintiff, a minor, was severely injured when he fell into an excavation pit, owned by the Defendant, which was not properly guarded and enclosed. Discovery established that the Defendant had prior knowledge of the conditions of the fencing and that others had entered into the excavation area prior to Plaintiff's fall. After substantial litigation and just prior to trial, a confidential settlement with a total value in excess of $2,000,000.00 was obtained.
