Jennifer Duffy, Of Counsel, handles matters throughout the United States. She has litigated and tried numerous cases involving consumer protection, mass tort and class action matters. She has resolved hundreds of matters, either by trial or settlement, involving cases valued in excess of $100 million.
Ms. Duffy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University Long Beach and graduated cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Duffy founded the Southwestern Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas. The Journal publishes scholarly articles relating to international, comparative, and foreign law issues.
Prior to joining Arias Ozzello & Gignac, Ms. Duffy was associated with a well known class action litigation firm where she worked on mass tort and class action matters. Earlier in her career, Ms. Duffy was a prosecutor and criminal defense lawyer. She has handled numerous appeals and was a member of the California Appellate Project for the Second District Court of Appeals.
Ms. Duffy is admitted to practice law in California state and federal courts.
She has served on the Board of Governors of the Long Beach Bar Association and was the former President of the Long Beach Bar Association Barristers. She was the Long Beach Bar Association College Legal Counseling Chairperson and received the Legal Aid Commission Dedicated Service Award. She was an active member for numerous years of the Joseph A. Ball/Clarence Hunt Inns of Court.
