Mike Arias Inducted into YMCA’s Golden Book
Mike Arias was recently inducted into the YMCA’s Golden Book, an honor given to only a handful of honorees from the 25 branches of the Los Angeles YMCAs. The Golden Book award is bestowed upon individuals in the community who have made a significant impact on the YMCA. This award, which dates back to 1934, recognizes individuals who have dedicated years of service to the YMCA.
Mike received this award for his dedicated service to the Westchester YMCA. He first got involved in the YMCA in 1992 and began raising money for the annual support campaign in 1995. He chaired the golf tournament committee for 14 years and has served on the Board of Managers for 16 years and served as Board Chair for four years. He was also influential in acquiring the Woman’s Club property which has become the YMCA Annex, a building that will be essential to the YMCA’s growth and expansion going forward. Mike has specifically recognized the importance of the Youth and Government program at the YMCA and has been influential in its continued success. His dedication to the Youth and Government program as well as the YMCA in general represents his passion not only for the law, but for the community as well.
